As our community, continent and world have been taken to task by the COVID pandemic and more recently, the #BlackLivesMatter global movement, we are faced with a stark choice:
We can choose to feel overcome and defensive or we can choose to lean in to that uncomfortable place of vulnerability and rely on courage to slowly but surely lead us together towards a better world.
Epworth School in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal shines its ‘JOYFUL LIGHT’ through quality education (UN Sustainable Goals 2017, goal number 4). We have not always got it right, and we know we still have a long journey ahead to true transformation, but through our 122 years of successes and challenges, we have always endeavoured to be real and resilient.
